Four Lords/Mercenaries Tropes

A fun little thing I wanted to do for 's story 'Unwanted'. This details the four main characters of the story: Genocyder, Schala, Ryūko Matoi, and Krocken

Authority Equals Asskicking: They are the leaders of the Kingdom of Omnia, and are also the deadliest and most powerful fighters there...which is saying something, considering the inhabitants themselves are rather tough

Ax-Crazy: Each one is mentally unstable in his/her own way, and are addicted to violence and inflicting massive amounts of bodily harm to their enemies.

Badass: They may be sadistic jackasses, but it cannot be denied they are very powerful and skilled in battle, and tend to mow down their enemies quickly.

Berserk Button: Each one of his/her own
-Genocyder is a normally stoic individual, but doesn't like having his past brought up.
-Schala is a prideful girl, and lashes out should someone slight that pride.
-Ryūko doesn't like being talked down to at all
-Krocken HATES being called 'garbage' and responds by trying to stab someone.

Blood Knight: All of them take great pleasure in fighting others. Krocken is the more prominent example, even working himself into a frenzy when the battle gets intense.

Evil Evil Has Standards: The Four may be sociopaths who take too much joy in killing people, but they abhor the idea of rape, and do try to take care of their citizens.

Freudian Excuse: Each of them had suffered horribly in the past, turning them into the violent maniacs they are today.

Hair-Trigger Temper: It doesn't take much to set them off, and the results can be quite scary.

Jerkass: None of them are particularly pleasant people. Best case, they are rude, obnoxious, taunting, and foul-mouthed. At worst, they are savage and gleefully murderous.
-Jerk With A Heart of Gold: However, every now and then they show a decent side, such as the care for their citizens (even taking some younger end as children/siblings) and helping each other in battle.

Sadist: The Four, when dealing with their enemies, are very nasty pieces of work, and thoroughly enjoy causing as much pain to them as they can before brutally killing them.

Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Four start like this, with them barely being bale to work together and often trying to kill each other. They get better.

Vitriolic Best Buds: The Four eventually become this, trading insults and hate while growing to respect each other, and they will fight together when the chips are down.
